Heritage Village Campus News. Morningstar Senior Living, Inc. embarks on a proposed addition to its services and living opportunities.
Morningstar Senior Living, Inc. is proceeding with development of Heritage Village, a second campus approximately one mile north from its’ Moravian Hall Square campus in the center of Nazareth. Moravian Hall Square, celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2013, is a life care community with Independent Living apartments, Personal Care apartments and suites, a secure Memory Support area and Nursing Care. The new 47-acre Heritage Village campus in Upper Nazareth Township will be home to residents 60 and over in lifestyle cottages, duplexes, and townhouse accommodations. Residents will have access to Moravian Hall Square’s campus for health care purposes, and in-home care services and geriatric care management will be available to all residents who live at Heritage Village. Transportation to the Nazareth campus will be provided to enjoy varied activities and meals, if desired. Planned cottages at Heritage Village include two bedrooms, full kitchen, garage, and energy saving features and amenities. Townhomes will offer residents a unique and innovative single level floor plan with choice of one or two bedrooms, full kitchen, garage and similar energy saving features and social, educational, and recreational amenities.
Heritage Village will be laid out like a historical village similar to Nazareth and Lititz, PA with a village green, community center and green space with benches and fitness kiosks. Wetlands on the property will be preserved and add to the ambience for residents and neighbors. The community center will accommodate meetings, programs and fitness facilities. An indoor pool is also planned. Residents will have lifetime residency in a maintenance free home without responsibility for lawn care and snow removal. Morningstar Senior Living, Inc. will own and maintain the campus, buildings and roads and pay full real estate taxes to the township, Nazareth Area School District and Northampton County.
70% of presales are needed to complete the land purchase and financing for the project, estimated to be completed in 2014, with full occupancy projected in 2015.
