The purpose of the volunteer at Moravian Hall Square is to assist paid staff in all phases of services given to provide quality care for the residents.

Adult volunteers are 18 years and older. There are separate policies for junior volunteers, who must be 14 years of age. Volunteers first meet and are interviewed with the Volunteer & Event Coordinator to discuss the programs which can best utilize volunteers. An orientation program is given to volunteers prior to their volunteering.

Adult Volunteer Application

FRIENDS OF HALL SQUARE is a volunteer organization started in 1993 which at present has approximately 340 members.

The purpose of the organization is to promote volunteerism, provide resources and financial support through special fundraising events, provide direction for the operation of the Moravian Hall Square Gift Shop and promote communication with local churches and the community at large.

There is an individual yearly membership of $5; and individual life membership of $100. Fund raising events are Fashion shows, Quilt shows, etc. To date more that $50,000 has been contributed in equipment for the use in the facility and monies have also been given to the Good Samaritan Fund.
