Friday Feast at Moravian Hall Square

What are you most grateful for at Thanksgiving?  The residents and staff at Moravian Hall Square have many blessings that they are thankful for…and this year, they added one more to their list.  This Thanksgiving the residents and staff are thankful to be starting a new holiday tradition by working together to provide a Thanksgiving-style meal for families in need who live in our neighborhood.

Moravian Hall Square worked in partnership with the Nazareth Food Bank to invite families who use the food bank to enjoy a Friday Feast at Moravian Hall Square.  Volunteers, residents and staff helped prepare for the feast by donating money to provide the meal at no cost to guests.  In addition, residents and staff helped to welcome guests and serve the meal.  “Moravian Hall Square residents and staff wanted to help make a difference in the lives of people right here in the community of Nazareth.” said Susan C. Drabic, President and CEO of Morningstar Senior Living, Inc., which owns and operates Moravian Hall Square, “There is more need in Nazareth than many may realize and providing a hot meal on the day after Thanksgiving is just one small way that we can give back to the Nazareth community.”

Approximately fifty people enjoyed the Friday Feast and were thankful that they had one less meal to worry about.  Each guest also received a goody bag to enjoy at home.  Residents and staff look forward to making this an annual tradition at Moravian Hall Square.
